Statement of Faith
Thrive Preparatory Academy is a Christian organization. The policies and decisions of Thrive Preparatory Academy are guided by a Biblical Christian worldview. Thrive Preparatory Academy is an inclusive organization that does not require students or families to agree with or practice a Christian worldview. However, enrolling students and families are required to respect Thrive Preparatory Academy’s Christian philosophy and abide by the policies, rules, and guidelines set by it.
Non-Discrimination Policy
MustardSeed Educational Resources, d.b.a Thrive Preparatory Academy is committed to a policy of equal opportunity and does not discriminate in terms, conditions, or privileges of employment, student admission, or Board of Directors qualification, on account of race, age, color, sex, national origin, physical disability, or otherwise as may be prohibited by federal and state law. While Thrive Preparatory Academy does not discriminate on the foregoing bases in the administration of its educational policies, employment policies, and admission policies, as a religious institution, Thrive Preparatory Academy reserves the right to deny admission, service, or employment, or to terminate the enrollment, service or employment of persons whose lifestyle, words, actions, or otherwise do not align with Thrive Preparatory Academy’s statement of faith, code of conduct, or other policies.
Parental Expectations
Parents are expected to log in to JupiterEd, our learning management system, regularly in order to keep track of assignments and grades. Parents are expected to assist students in logging in to their student accounts on JupiterEd weekly, as this is where assignments will be posted. Our teachers will primarily use JupiterEd as our way of contacting you and your students.
Discipline Policy
As part of Thrive’s discipline process, Thrive’s teachers (or staff) may use Thrive’s Learning Management System to notify parents and record disciplinary issues.
- Students are expected to behave in an age-appropriate respectful manner. A student deemed to not be acting in a respectful manner will receive the following:
- First offense: Verbal warning during class time or outside of class time and a written warning to parents.
- Second offense: A verbal warning will be given to the student and a written warning will be sent to parents. Parents may be called to pick up the student. In that case, the student will be prohibited from participating in any other Thrive Preparatory Academy-sponsored classes or activities for the remainder of that day.
- Third offense: A verbal warning will be given to the student. A written and verbal request will go to the parents for the student to be picked up from Thrive Preparatory Academy. The student may be expelled from Thrive Preparatory Academy for the remainder of the year. In the case of expulsion, the student is prohibited from attending any Thrive Preparatory Academy-sponsored classes or programs for the remainder of the year.
- Bullying, including cyberbullying, will not be tolerated. Bullying is defined as an ongoing and deliberate misuse of power in relationships through repeated verbal, physical, and/or social behavior that intends to cause physical, social, and/or psychological harm.
- Thrive is committed to maintaining an environment in which all individuals treat others with dignity and respect, free from all forms of intimidation, nonconsensual or inappropriate suggestive conduct, exploitation, coercive control, and/or harassment, including sexual harassment. Anyone who violates this policy may be subject to suspension or expulsion.
- The administration and staff reserve the right to ask a student to leave the class permanently if a student’s behavior is deemed to be a threat to other students, faculty, or staff.
- The administration and staff reserve the right to contact law enforcement if, in their opinion, the circumstances warrant it.
- In all cases where a student is asked to leave a class or the school permanently, no refunds will be issued.
Dress Code
Students are expected to dress in a way that is modest and Christ-honoring. If in doubt, please see clothing as an extension of behavior. Please make sure the clothing worn to school is in line with our Christian philosophy and is not a distraction to students, teachers, or staff. All questions regarding dress code should be forwarded to the Director of Thrive Preparatory Academy.
The following applies to all students, staff, and faculty of Thrive Prep Academy:
- No skin should be showing on the torso from the chest to mid-thigh
- Shoulders should be covered
- No pajamas
- Leggings, jeggings, or yoga pants may be worn IF worn with a top that covers down to the middle of the thigh
- Skirts and shorts must reach to mid-thigh
- No “running” shorts unless worn under a dress or skirt
- No holes in clothing between chest and mid-thigh
Any violation of the dress code will be handled in the manner laid out in the Discipline Policy.
Illness Policy
Please do not send your student to class if they have any of the following:
Fever, vomiting, or diarrhea in the last 24 hours
Persistent cough
Productive nose mucus that is yellow or green in color
Attendance Policy
Consistent attendance is vital for your student to achieve academic success in the class. We do not allow students to “audit” any class. If you are going to be absent, notify the teacher through the Learning Management System as expeditiously as possible. If the teacher allows ZOOM as an option, please give the teacher time to set up that option for your student. The teacher will not be able to provide that option when it is a last-minute absence.
Students are expected to turn in all classwork missed during their absence and any homework due on the day of their absence and any homework assigned on the day of their absence.
Add/Drop Policy
Prior to the start of school:
Classes may be added at no additional cost. Simply sign up for additional classes through the website.
If you elect to drop a class before classes start, you must notify the Director in writing. There is a $20 drop fee.
Once classes have begun:
Once classes have begun you must get teacher approval to add classes. Many classes can still be joined after the start of the year, but it is up to the discretion of each teacher. Once you have permission, you may add classes through the website.
After August 1st (High School) or September 1st (Elementary and Middle School) you are responsible for paying tuition for the remainder of the year, **even if you drop a class and your child stops attending.**
Late Pick-up Policy
Timely pick-up from school is crucial for your child’s well-being and the smooth operation of the school. It ensures your child feels secure and valued, knowing that their schedule is respected. To ensure a safe and structured environment for all students, we charge a fee for late pick-ups. This fee helps cover the additional supervision costs incurred by our staff who must stay beyond their regular hours. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

15-19 minutes late- $10
20+ minutes late- $15, plus $1 per minute for each additional minute
For families who are frequently 5-10 minutes late, we reserve the right to charge a $5 fee for each occurrence.
